Call for Book Manuscripts, and call for papers for Fijian Studies: a Journal of Contemporary Fiji and Pacific Journal of Education

Fijian Studies: A Journal of Contemporary Fiji:

Fijian Studies invites scholarly papers  and reviews on any subject, and from any disciplinary perspective or from interdisciplinary perspectives as well as those of a theoretical nature, provided they have relevance with contemporary Fijian issues. All articles published in the journal will be refereed. The journal invites contributions to the Dialogue/Talanoa section, which is devoted to debates, commentaries, interviews with scholars, public figures and policy makers on issues relevant to contemporary Fiji. Reviews of books, conference proceedings, workshops, documentaries and other audiovisual material which deal with some aspect of Fiji are also welcomed. The journal does not charge any money for submissions.

Special Issues: Fijian Studies devotes entire issues to special topics. Proposals are invited from researchers on dedicating issues to such special topics.

Pacific Journal of Education

PJE invites scholarly papers  and reviews on any Education in the Pacific, and from any disciplinary perspective or from interdisciplinary perspectives as well as those of a theoretical nature, provided they have relevance with education the Pacific island countries. All articles published in the journal will be refereed. The journal invites contributions to the Dialogue/Talanoa section, which is devoted to debates, commentaries, interviews with scholars, public figures and policy makers on issues relevant to Pacific education. Reviews of books, conference proceedings, workshops, documentaries and other audiovisual material which deal with some aspect of Pacific Education are also welcomed. The journal does not charge any fee for submissions.

Special Issues: Pacific Journal of Education  would devote entire issues to special topics. Proposals are invited from researchers on dedicating issues to such special topics. Each year two special topics are proposed, one on Education in a particular Pacific Country, and another on a particular theme in Education across the Pacific.

Countries covered are: Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Solomon Is, Vanuatu, PNG, Niue, Tokelau, Cook Is, Tuvalu, Kiribati, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, FSM, Palau, Marshall islands, Northern Marianas, Nauru, Wallis & Futuna, American Samoa, and Guam. Hawaii is not specifically excluded; nor is it our intent at this stage to focus on it in any detail.
